Aledade hires chief commercial officer and more digital health hires

Aledade, which works with primary care providers to build tech-enabled accountable care organizations, hired Ananya Banerjee as chief commercial officer. 

Sean Cavanaugh, who had previously managed the role, will remain at Aledade as chief policy officer. 

Before joining Aledade, Banerjee served as chief of strategic payer partnerships at ChenMed, a primary care company geared toward seniors. ChenMed recently sued Banerjee and Aledade, alleging she broke her confidentiality agreement in favor of a competitor. 

Banerjee had also previously worked at Optum and McKinsey & Company.

“In every step of my career, I’ve looked for opportunities to support structural alignment within the healthcare system to bring higher-quality care to more people at lower costs,” she said in a statement. “Aledade’s model, mission, scale and trusted relationships drew me to the company, and I am excited to support the next phase of its growth.”

Aledade recently raised $123 million in a Series E round led by OMERS Growth Equity.


Nomi Health announced it had appointed Amy Wykoff as the direct healthcare company’s first chief product officer.

Wykoff joins Nomi from IBM Watson Health, now Merative. She served as vice president of strategy and product management at Curam Software, which offered software to help governments administer social benefits. She also worked as director of product management at Oracle.

“I joined Nomi Health because I wanted to be part of the team redefining how we contract and pay for healthcare. At the end of the day, employers and governments are the organizations floating absorbent bills for a broken system. Nomi’s direct care model opens the opportunity to change the industry,” Wykoff said in a statement.

Nomi, which offers a payment platform that allows employers and other organizations to buy healthcare services directly from providers, acquired several companies this year. It announced a deal to purchase Artemis Health in January, and it scooped up sister companies Everyone Health and Sano Surgery over the summer. 

In 2021, the company raised $110 million in Series A funding.


Hims & Hers announced Dr. Pat Carroll was rejoining the direct-to-consumer virtual care company as chief medical officer. 

Carroll previously served as the company’s first CMO. He’s also held the role at Walgreens and virtual care startup Vida Health

“I’ve always seen the transformational power in what Hims & Hers is building. It’s why I joined the company in 2019 and joined the board this past year,” Carroll said in a statement. “What’s compelling me to come back as chief medical officer is the pace of this transformation and the rapid expansion of the company’s impact.”

The company recently hired its first chief pharmacy and innovation officer.
